Shri Ashish Kumar Srivastava IFoS (Tamil Nadu 1997) has been appointed as CVO, National Hydro Power Corporation Ltd. (NHPC), Delhi under the Ministry of Power on lateral shift basis for a combined tenure of 6 years upto 08.03.2023 from the date of assumption of charge of the post.
Shri Srivastava is a Mechanical Engineering Graduate from Banaras Hindu University, a premier engineering college and has passed out in 1994. He joined Indian Forest Service in 1997 and was allotted TN cadre. He has worked in different areas of Tamil Nadu as District Forest Officer including the challenging and prestigious assignments in Chennai, Ooty etc. He became Conservator of Forest in year 2012. He has handled diverse portfolio of Environment protection, Coastal Regulation zones, River Conservation programmes in Tamil Nadu and worked as G.M in State Government undertaking in Tamil Nadu. He has travelled widely in Countries like Finland, Sweden, Germany & Russia where he got rich experience of forest administrations as followed in different countries.
He is a tech savvy and firm believer in system and procedures. He is credited with advocating several systemic improvements in functioning of the company. He has been promoting the use of IT technology in different sphere of activities in the company leading to transparency and better governance in CCL
