45 out of 58 students of Jawahar Higher Secondary School (CBSE), CNN Campus, Neyveli, patronised by NLCIL, got qualified in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) – 2019 .Master Lokesh, student of School has scored 573 out of 720 and topped in the school. Among the 45 students, 25 students scored above 400 and 7 students scored above 500 in the NEET -2019 and all these students are likely to get admission into various Government Medical Colleges in Tamil Nadu .
During the last year NEET- 2018, 36 students appeared for the exam and 28 students got qualified and 18 students got admission in various Government Medical Colleges in Tamil Nadu.
It may be recalled that, with an intention to improve the opportunities for the students studying at Neyveli to enter into the prestigious technical institutions like IITs, NITs and Premier Medical Institutions like AIIMS, JIPMER, with constant support of NLCIL management, Neyveli Telugu Samithi Educational Academy, a unit of Telugu Kala Samiti, Neyveli in coordination with Jawahar Education Society have started conducting coaching classes at Jawahar Higher Secondary School, CNN Campus, Block-5, Neyveli for the IIT aspirants from the year 2007 and for NEET from 2013.
