Indian Bureaucracy, New Delhi, July 29, 2025 | The ACC, Appointments Committee of the Cabinet, approved empanelment of 35 senior IPS officers from the 1993 and 1994 batches across multiple cadres — including Bihar, Gujarat, Odisha, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, AGMUT, and others — for holding posts at the level of Director General or DG Equivalent in Central Government ministries.

Many of these officers are either presently serving in senior leadership roles within their respective cadres or are on Central Deputation. The empanelled officers are holdiUng or eligible for top positions such as Directors General of Police, Additional Directors General, Special Commissioners, and leadership roles in key Central agencies like the CRPF, CBI, IB, NIA, and NTRO.

For the convenience of readers and ready reference, the details have been systematically structured zone-wise and cadre-wise, and updated with their present assignments and place of posting.

The ACC, comprising the Prime Minister and the Home Minister, approves appointments to senior positions, including Secretaries, Additional Secretaries, and top police and security establishment leadership in Central Government ministries. The detailed list of empanelled IPS officers is as follows:
