Secretary Level Appointments – 16 IAS promoted as Secretary | The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the names of 16 IAS Officers for Secretary Level positions at the centre, the names of the officers are :

  1. Shri Nagendra Nath Sinha IAS (Jharkhand 1987) presently Secretary- Department of Rural Development, Ministry of Rural Development appointed as Officer on Special Duty, Ministry of Steel w,e.f. 01.12.2022.
  2. Shri Aramane Giridhar IAS(AP:88) presently Secretary, Ministry of Road Transport and Highways as Officer on Special Duty, Department of Defence. The officer will take over as Secretary, Department of Defence wef 31.10.22.
  3. Shri Vivek Joshi IAS (HY:89)presently Registrar General of India and Census Commissioner, Ministry of Home Affairs as Secretary, Department of Financial Services, Ministry of Finance .
  4. Shri Amrit LaI Meena IAS (Bihar 1989)presently Special Secretary (Logistics), Department for Promotion of Industry & Internal Trade, Ministry of Commerce & Industry as Officer on Special Duty, Ministry of Coal. The officer will take over as Secretary, Ministry of Coal .
  5. Shri Sanjay Malhotra IAS (Rajasthan 1990) presently  Secretary, Department of Financial Services, Ministry of Finance as Officer on Special Duty, Department of Revenue. The officer will take over as Secretary, Department of Revenue .
  6. Shri Bhupinder Singh Bhalla IAS (UT:90) presently in the Cadre, as Officer on Special Duty, Ministry of New and Renewable Energy. The officer will take over as Secretary, Ministry of New and Renewable Energy .
  7. Shri Sanjay Kumar IAS (Bihar 1990)presently Secretary- Department of Youth Affairs, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports as Officer on Special Duty, Department of School Education & Literacy, Ministry of Education. The officer will take over as Secretary, Department of School Education & Literacy .
  8. Shri Sanjeev Chopra IAS (Odisha 1990)presently in the cadre, as Secretary, Department of Food and Public Distribution, Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution .
  9. Ms. Meeta R Lochan IAS (MH:90)presently Member Secretary, National Commission for Women, Ministry of Women and Child Development as Secretary, Department of Youth Affairs, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports .
  10. Ms. Alka Upadhyaya IAS (MP:90)presently Chairperson, National Highways Authority of India, Ministry of Road Transport & Highways as Secretary, Ministry of Road Transport and Highways .
  11. Shri Manoj Govil IAS (MP:91)presently in the Cadre, as Secretary, Ministry of Corporate Affairs.
  12. Shri Shailesh Kumar Singh IAS (Jharkhand 1991), Additional Secretary and Development Commissioner, Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises as Officer on Special Duty, Department of Rural Development, Ministry of Rural Development. The officer will take over as Secretary, Department of Rural Development, Ministry of Rural Development .
  13. Shri Sudhansh Pant IAS (Rajasthan 1991)presently in the Cadre, as Officer on Special Duty, Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways w.e.f. 01.12.2022. The officer will take over as Secretary, Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways .
  14. Shri Kamran Rizvi IAS (Uuttar Pradesh 1991) presently Additional Secretary, Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs as Officer on Special Duty, Ministry of Heavy Industries. The officer will take over as Secretary, Ministry of Heavy industries .
  15. Ms. Rachna Shah IAS (KL:91) presently Additional Secretary, Department of Commerce, Ministry of Commerce & Industry as Officer on Special Duty, Ministry of Textiles. The officer will take over as Secretary, Ministry of Textiles .
  16. Shri Mritunjay Kumar Narayan IAS (Uttar Pradesh 1995) presently Additional Secretary, Department of Home, Ministry of Home Affairs as Registrar General of India and Census Commissioner, Ministry of Home Affairs in the rank and pay of Additional Secretary .
