Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation, Shri Amit Shah, addressed the 118th annual session of the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry in New Delhi, focusing on ‘Rising India: Amrit Kaal of Unprecedented Growth’.

Shri Shah emphasized the revitalizing impact of the G20 meeting led by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, igniting vigor across all sectors. Achievements like G20, Chandrayaan, Mission Aditya, and women’s reservation in legislative bodies have galvanized the nation.

He highlighted India’s 75-year journey since independence, underscoring the deepening of democratic roots. The Amrit Kal, from 75 to 100 years, as termed by Prime Minister Modi, signifies setting goals for the nation’s centenary in 2047. Shri Shah urged the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry, representing over 1.5 lakh industries, to play a pivotal role in shaping the nation’s trade and industry. He emphasized the industry’s role in realizing PM Modi’s ambitious goals of a $5 trillion economy by 2026 and becoming the world’s third-largest economy by 2027.

The Home Minister applauded India’s leadership in global problem-solving across various sectors, from counterterrorism to green energy. He highlighted the transformative impact of policies, propelling India to become the world’s fifth-largest economy, with projections to reach the third spot by 2027.

Shri Shah outlined the remarkable progress in infrastructure, digitalization, and startups. He emphasized collaborative efforts and Team India’s approach for holistic development. He lauded the successful implementation of GST, showcasing India’s commitment to economic reform. The Home Minister cited the surge in digital transactions, financial inclusion, and infrastructure development as testament to India’s growth. Shri Amit Shah underscored India’s prominent position in sectors crucial for the global economy’s next 25 years, including green energy, semiconductors, and defense. He urged Indian companies to go global and invest in R&D for continued success.

The Home Minister concluded by highlighting achievements in banking sector reforms and MSME support. He emphasized that a united Team India, encompassing every citizen and industry, is essential to realizing the nation’s goals by 2047. The Amrit Kaal marks a pivotal moment, calling for resolutions and a roadmap towards Sankalp Se Siddhi.
