Indian Bureaucracy, Lucknow, November 11, 2024| The Uttar Pradesh state government announced a major reshuffle of administrative responsibilities, redistributing additional charge portfolios and appointing dedicated full-time IAS officers to key departments. Notable among these are the Namami Gange and Rural Water Supply Department, Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchai Yojana, Tourism, and Uttar Pradesh Bhumi Sudhar Nigam. Senior bureaucrats have also been assigned additional responsibilities in sensitive departments such as Forest and Environment, reflecting the government’s focus on streamlining governance and enhancing administrative efficiency.
Dr Raj Shekhar IAS (Uttar Pradesh 2004), presently Secretary, Agriculture Department, Lucknow, holding the posts of Managing Director – Uttar Pradesh Jal Nigam (Rural), Secretary – Namami Gange and Rural Water Supply Department, State Nodal Officer – Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchai Yojana, and Managing Director – Uttar Pradesh Bhumi Sudhar Nigam, Lucknow; is transferred and appointed as Managing Director (MD) – Uttar Pradesh Jal Nigam (Rural).
Shri Anil Garg IAS (Uttar Pradesh 1996), presently Principal Secretary, Irrigation and Water Resources, Parti Bhumi Vikas, Prison Administration and Reforms Department, and Chairperson, PACT, has been given additional charges as State Nodal Officer – Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchai Yojana and MD – Uttar Pradesh Bhumi Sudhar Nigam, Lucknow.
Shri Manoj Singh IAS (Uttar Pradesh 1989), presently Additional Chief Secretary, Forest, Environment & Climate Change Department, Uttar Pradesh, is transferred and is awaiting posting.
Shri Anil Kumar IAS (Uttar Pradesh 1998) (Anil Kumar-II), presently Principal Secretary, Geology & Mining, Labour and Employment, Lucknow, given additional charge of Principal Secretary – Forest, Environment & Climate Change Department, Uttar Pradesh.
Shri Ravi Ranjan IAS (Uttar Pradesh 2014), presently MD, UP State Tourism Development Corporation, MD, UP Electronics Corporation Limited and MD, UP Agro, is relieved of the post of MD, State Tourism Development and MD, UP Agro. He will continue as MD – UP Electronics Corporation Limited.
Smt Sanya Chhabra IAS (Uttar Pradesh 2019), awaiting posting is appointed as MD – UP State Tourism Development Corporation.
Smt Prranata Aishwarya IAS (Uttar Pradesh 2019), presently Special Secretary, Namami Gange and Rural Water Supply Department and Joint MD – UP Jal Nigam (Rural), is transferred and appointed as MD – UP Agro.
Shri Prabhash Kumar IAS (Uttar Pradesh 2017), presently Special Secretary, Food & Civil Supply Department, Uttar Pradesh, is transferred and appointed as Special Secretary – Namami Gange and Rural Water Supply Department and Joint MD – UP Jal Nigam (Rural), Uttar Pradesh.
Shri Udai Bhanu Tripathi IAS (Uttar Pradesh 2011), presently Special Secretary, Housing & Urban Planning Department, is transferred and appointed as Special Secretary – Urban Development, Uttar Pradesh.
Dr Kanchan Saran IAS (Uttar Pradesh 2013), presently Additional Divisional Commissioner, Agra Division, Agra, is transferred and appointed as Secretary State Women’s Commission, Uttar Pradesh.
