Shri YC Modi IPS (Assam-Meghalaya 1984) has been appointed as Director General (DG), National Investigation Agency(NIA) for a period up to 31.05.2021 vice Shri Sharad Kumar IPS (Haryana 1979)(Retired).
Shri Modi served as the Additional Director of the Central Bureau of Investigation in 2015 and Additional Director General of Police in Shillong, was included in the SIT in August 2010 and remained part of the team till July 2012 .
