As part of the celebration of Nari Shakti (Women’s Power) in the country, the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) is organizing a women’s bike expedition involving 75 bikers with pillion riders. The expedition commenced on October 5, 2023, from three corners of the country: Kanyakumari, Srinagar, and Shillong. The bikers are covering 121 districts in 15 states and 2 Union Territories, totaling around 10,000 kilometers. The primary objectives of the expedition include spreading the message of Nari Shakti (Women’s Power), Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (Save the Daughter, Educate the Daughter), Unity, Integrity, and women empowerment. The journey will culminate at the world-famous Statue of Unity in Ekta Nagar, Gujarat.

Throughout their expedition, the team, known as Yeshaswini, is meeting and interacting with various groups, including girl students, women self-help groups, Anganwadi workers, NCC cadets, and other women entrepreneurs. The aim is to promote the messages of inclusiveness and unity. The bikers carry the National flag and CRPF flag, symbolizing the force’s commitment as the guardians of the nation.

One of the Yeshaswini teams, comprising 25 bikers on its entourage from Kanyakumari to Ekta Nagar, has reached Group Centre CRPF Bengaluru on the evening of October 12, 2023, after covering approximately 1250 kilometers and passing through cities like Thiruvananthapuram, Madurai, Pondicherry, Avadi, Vellur, Krishnagiri, and Hosur. On October 13, 2023, the Department of Women and Child Development, Karnataka State, conducted a felicitation program to honor the Women’s Motorcycle Expedition team for their inspiring journey and efforts to promote important social messages.
