Proposals approved under Comprehensive Capacity Building Programme (CCBP) Under the CCBP, whose objective is to “enhance the managerial and technical capabilities of municipal personnel”, the Mission Directorate received Capacity Building proposals from 25 State governments.

They contain detailed CB Plans to be undertaken during the 12th five year plan period. The MoUD approved the proposals of 20 State governments so far, with a total budget outlay of Rs.790.92 crores, out of which Rs.195.05 crores has been released in February 2014 as 1st installment.

Proposals received from State governments:

a. Approved (20 States): Andhra Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Goa, Himachal Pradesh, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Kerala, Mizoram, Manipur, Madhya Pradesh, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Odisha, Sikkim, Tamil Nadu, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal
b. Pending for approval (2 States): Haryana and Rajasthan
c. Under process (3 States): Chandigarh, Gujarat and Jammu & Kashmir

Proposals yet to receive from State governments (6 States): Maharashtra, Punjab, Assam, Tripura, Delhi and Puducherry
