Neelam Meena IAS (West Bengal 1998), presently Chief Electoral Officer, West Bengal and ex-officio Principal Secretary, Home & Hill Affairs (Election) Department, has been assigned additional charge as Principal Secretary, Environment Department while continuing as Chief Electoral Officer, West Bengal. The assignment adds an important environmental governance portfolio to her existing responsibilities and Smt. Mukta Arya IAS (West Bengal 2008), presently Secretary, Industry, Commerce & Enterprises Department, has been transferred and posted as Secretary, Sundarban Affairs Department.
