Air Marshal RD Mathur AVSM VSM, Air Officer Commanding in Chief Eastern Air Command IAF arrived on a two day visit to Air Force Station Chabua, the eastern most fighter base of IAF on 22 April 2019. The Air Marshal was presented a ceremonial Guard of Honour by smartly turned out air warriors of the base on his arrival. During the visit, he inspected various units and key locations at the station to assess their operational readiness. He was also briefed on the ongoing and future modern infrastructure development projects for improving the combat potential of the base.The Air Marshal addressed and interacted with the Station personnel and directed them to maintain high standards of safety, operational preparedness and security awareness. He appreciated the high degree of operational readiness, station facilities and morale of the personnel deployed at the base.
The Air Marshal was accompanied by Mrs Shipra Mathur, President AFWWA(R). She was given a warm welcome by the ladies of AFWWA (L) Chabua. She visited Air Force School, Play School and other AFWWA(L) ventures and expressed her appreciation for the whole hearted involvement of Sanginis in all their endeavours.
