Ms. Vinita Narera IRSSE (2000) has been appointed as CVO- Rural Electrification Corporation Ltd. (REC), Delhi.
Ms. Vinita Narera is an accomplished officer of the 2000 batch of the Indian Railway Service of Signal Engineers (IRSSE). With a distinguished career spanning over two decades, Ms. Narera brings to her new role a wealth of experience in strategic project execution, technical oversight, and institutional integrity.
An engineer by training and a strategic leader by experience, Ms. Narera has specialized in the planning, execution, and management of Advanced Signalling & Telecom systems, ICT systems, and multimodal transport projects. She has effectively led diverse initiatives that required deep technical acumen, coupled with robust administrative insight. Her contributions in project and contract management, ICT implementation, and system modernization have had lasting impacts on infrastructure efficiency and service delivery.
Prior to joining REC Limited, Ms. Narera held several senior roles within the Indian Railways, notably serving as Director Electronics (Communication & Information Systems) in the Ministry of Railways. In this capacity, she led major ICT projects and played a key role in driving digital transformation efforts. She has also served as Divisional In-Charge for the Signaling and Telecom wings of Ratlam, Vadodara, and Mumbai Divisions of Western Railway—regions critical to the Indian Railways network.
Her academic credentials are equally impressive. She holds a B.Tech in Electronics from NIT Raipur, a Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Management from IMT Ghaziabad, and an MBA in Strategic Leadership and Public Policy from IIT Madras. Enhancing her profile further, she recently completed the prestigious International Strategy program in National Security and Strategic Studies at the National Defence College, New Delhi.
