Shri Vikram Doraiswami IFS (1992) appointed as the next Ambassador of India to the Republic of Korea. Doraiswami is currently serving as Ambassador of India to Uzbekistan. Mr Vikram K Doraiswami, 45, joined the Indian Foreign Service in 1992. Prior to joining the Indian Government,he worked as a journalist. He took a Masters’ Degree in History from the Delhi University.
Vikram’s interests include reading, sports, hiking, travel and Jazz. He speaks, reads and writes in Chinese,speaks limited French and Urdu. His wife Sangeeta is a trained primary school teacher with 15 years’ career experience and a Masters’ Degree in Psychology. They have a fifteen-year old son.
