Shri Vikas Singh IAS (Tripura 2010) has been appointed Joint Secretary- Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities for a combined tenure of five years upto 27/04/2026 by temporarily upgrading the post held by the officer from DS/Director level in the Department to JS level.
Shri Vikas Singh, an Indian Administrative Service officer, exemplifies a career shaped by a strong academic foundation and a steadily expanding administrative canvas. He holds a B.Tech in Computer Science from the Institute of Engineering and Technology, University of Lucknow, graduating with First Class distinction. Complementing his technical education, he pursued a Master’s degree in Public Policy from Indira Gandhi National Open University, with academic inputs from LBSNAA. This blend of technology and policy has informed his approach to governance, particularly in areas requiring systemic thinking and digital integration.
Over the years, Shri Singh has built a career marked by diversity of roles across sectors such as rural development, urban administration, finance, and social justice.
