Shri Vijay Kiran Anand IAS (Uttar Pradesh 2009) presently Mission Director, Swach Bharat Mission has been appointed as Kumbh Mela Officer , Uttar Pradesh.
Before joining to Varanasi he has worked as the DM in Shahjahanpur, Firozabad, Bijnor and Unnao districts of Uttar Pradesh state. He is an IAS officer of 2009 batch and native of Bengaluru, Karnataka. Young and dynamic with his personality and known for his action oriented approach. He gives value to the duty and pays full attention..Vijay’s fame among the community people is known well. While he was transferred from Shahjahanpur the local people did a mass protest to keep him back to the district. His main priorities immediately after joining Varanasi is on making the district free of open defecation and encroachment on the city roads.
