Shri V.C Pharka IAS (Himachal Pradesh 1983) presently posted as Additional Chief Secretary(ACS), Tourism and Chief Minister, Government of Himachal Pradesh, has been appointed as Chief Secretary, Government of Himachal Pradesh.
Born on October 15, 1959 in Pooh village of Kinnaur district, he did his schooling from government high school, Pooh and graduation from St.Stephen’s College, Delhi.He did MA in International Studies and MBA from Australia,started his Indian Bureaucracy career as SDM, Rohru and served in the Himachal Pradesh government in various capacities.
