A graduate of the prestigious Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology (MNNIT), Allahabad, Shri Suraj Patel holds a B.Tech degree in Mechanical Engineering with First Division. His strong technical foundation has provided him with a structured, analytical approach to administration, blending engineering precision with the empathy and foresight essential for governance. His academic excellence and professional discipline have continuously reflected in his administrative decisions and developmental planning.
Shri Suraj Patel’s administrative journey is notable for its determination and achievement. He first qualified for the Indian Revenue Service (IRS) in 2016, later joined the Indian Police Service (IPS) in 2017, and finally entered the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) in 2019 — a rare and inspiring progression that reflects his unwavering commitment to public service and national development.
In his previous assignments, he has served as Joint Magistrate in Gonda and Meerut, where he effectively handled district administration, revenue management, and law-and-order responsibilities.
