Sunita Sharma appointed as MD- LIC

Ms. Sunita Sharma Executive Director, LIC has been appointed as Managing Director ,Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) for a period of five years.

Ms. Sunita Sharma has been Managing Director, Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director of LIC Housing Finance Ltd. since November 5, 2013. Ms. Sharma has over 32 years of working experience with the Life Insurance Corporation of India where she has worked in different departments including housing finance and accounts. She has served various positions at Life Insurance Corporation of India such as Secretary (Personnel and Industrial Relations). She served as an Executive Director at P&GS at Life Insurance Corporation of India and served as its Chief of Personnel of Central Office. She has been a Non-Executive Director at Larsen & Toubro Limited since April 1, 2015. She served as a Director of Bhushan Steel Limited from February 2010 to April 2016. Ms. Sharma holds a Master’s Degree in Science from the University of Delhi, New Delhi.
