Shri Sudhansh Pant IAS (Rajasthan 1991) presently Secretary- Department of Social Justice & Empowerment has been given the additional charge as Secretary- Ministry of Tribal Affairs from 06.12.2025 to 16.12.2025 during the period of absence on leave of Ms. Ranjana Chopra IAS (Odisha 1994).
Shri Sudhansh Pant, an accomplished civil servant with a distinguished academic beginning as a Graduate in Electronics with First Division, has built one of the most diverse and respected administrative careers in public governance. Known for his balanced leadership and strategic policy clarity, he has consistently delivered outcomes across sectors ranging from health and social justice to power, shipping, mines, and district administration.
Currently appointed as Secretary, Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Government of India (New Delhi) for the term beginning 30 November 2025, Shri Pant enters a role of immense national significance.
