Shri Nagendra Nath Sinha, Secretary of the Ministry of Steel, visited MOIL and the Gumgaon underground mine during October 19-21, 2023. He was accompanied by other officials, including the Director (Finance), Director (H.R.), Director (Production & Planning), and others.
During his visit, he engaged in extensive discussions with MOIL’s senior management about the company’s vision, strategic issues related to its mining operations, and expansion plans aimed at reducing manganese imports in the country. On October 21, 2023, an interactive session was held at MOIL’s Head Office in Nagpur with the company’s employees. During this session, there was an emphasis on the company’s efforts to increase production and growth, aligning with the vision of “Aatmanirbhar Bharat” in manganese ore production, as outlined by the Prime Minister.
MOIL’s management expressed their gratitude to the Secretary, Ministry of Steel, for sparing his valuable time and providing guidance and motivation to MOIL’s employees. This encouragement is intended to foster diligence and collaboration among the employees to enhance production and improve the company’s overall performance.
