The Hon’ble Vice President of India, Shri Jagdeep Dhankhar, felicitated winners of the National Level Painting Competition during the National Energy Conservation Awards 2024 at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi. Agaan Lalit Kumar of Class 7 and Rudransh Jindal of Class 10 from St. Edward’s School, Shimla, Himachal Pradesh, won Third Prizes in Groups A and B, respectively. They each received Rs 30,000 and a laptop.
On this occasion, SJVN was also awarded the ‘State Wise Nodal Officer Appreciation Certificate’ for its efforts in advancing the National Campaign on Energy Conservation in Himachal Pradesh. The award was presented by Hon’ble Minister of State for Power, Shri Shripad Yesso Naik, to Shri Anurag Bhardwaj, DGM (HR) and Nodal Officer, SJVN.
Shri Ajay Kumar Sharma, Director (Personnel), SJVN, congratulated the winners and acknowledged SJVN’s role as the nodal agency for Himachal Pradesh since 2005. This year, over 2.1 lakh students from 4,794 schools across the state participated in the first phase of the campaign, reflecting the importance of youth engagement in energy conservation initiatives.
