Shri Shaktikanta Das is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer of the Tamil Nadu cadre from the 1980 batch. He has held several key positions in prominent organizations. He served as the Chairman and Director of Tamil Nadu Newsprint and Papers Ltd. and Titan Company Limited from 2006 to 2007. He was the Chairman of Tamilnadu Petroproducts Ltd. from 2006 to 2008 and held the position of Additional Director at Neyveli Lignite Corporation Limited during the same period. He also served as Director of Southern Petrochemical Industries Corporation Ltd. from 2006 to 2008 and Tamilnadu Industrial Explosives Ltd. until August 2007. Additionally, he was a Non-Executive Director at Indian Bank from December 9, 2009, to December 5, 2012, and a Director at LIC from October 2015 to August 2017. He was a Director at ONGC from August 2012 to 2013 and served as a Part-Time Director at NHAI. He also held the position of Chairman at the National Investment & Infrastructure Fund and its trustee company. Shri Das holds a master’s degree from St. Stephen’s College, Delhi, and is an alumnus of IIM Bangalore. His domicile state is Odisha, and he is proficient in Oriya, English, Hindi, and Tamil.
