Dr. Sanjeev Ranjan, IAS (TR:1985),presently Joint Secretary, Department of Defence, Ministry of Defence has been appointed as Additional Secretary and Financial Advisor, Ministry of Road Transport and Highways. Dr Sanjeev has done his BTech in Electrical Engg and Computers, MPhil in Eco Planning, PG in Business Administration, PG in National Security and PhD in Information & Telecommunications. His Indian bureaucracy career started in 1987 as Dy Secy ,Forest & Environment and has worked across many different portfolios in state as well as central cadre.
He has a number of publications in the domain of Information Technology, Metals, Industries, Project formulation,Investment,Environment and Energy to his name.
