Shri Sachit Jain presently Vice Chairman & Managing Director of Vardhman Special Steels Ltd. took charge as the Chairman of CII Northern Region for the year 2018-19.
A statement issued by CII said that new incumbents were elected during the first meeting of the newly elected Regional Council members held in New Delhi today. Mr Jain will head the CII Northern Region which comprises Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Delhi, Rajasthan and Union Territory Chandigarh.
Shri Sachit Jain is also the Joint Managing Director of Vardhman Textiles Ltd., the flagship company of the Vardhman Group.Mr Jain joined Vardhman Special Steels Ltd (VSSL) in 2010 as the Managing Director. Mr Jain has also served as the Co-Chairman of CII National Committee on Textiles and the Chairman of CII Himachal Pradesh State Council, besides serving in various other capacities at the Confederation.
Shri Sachit Jain is a B.Tech (Electrical) from IIT, New Delhi and an MBA (Gold Medallist) from IIM, Ahmedabad. He has also studied Financial Management from Stanford, USA and is a graduate of the OPM programme of the Harvard Business School.
