Shri Sanjay Kumar Rakesh IAS (Tripura 1990) has been appointed as Joint Secretary Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology for a period of five years vice Shri Rohani K Gautam IDSE (1987).

Shri Sanjay Kumar Rakesh served the Chief Vigilance Officer at Central Warehousing Corporation since April 2012. Shri Rakesh has been Joint Secretary to Government of India, Ministry of Rural Development since September 22, 2010. He serves as Principal Secretary(Power) to the Government of Tripura. He served in several key positions in the government of India. He serves as a Director of ONGC Tripura Power Company Ltd. He served as a Director of National Housing Bank since September 22, 2010 until September 13, 2012
