The Deputy Commissioner of Police (CP Secretariat – Crime), Delhi Police, plays a key role in assisting the senior leadership in crime-related administration, coordination, and policy implementation. Positioned within the Commissioner of Police’s Secretariat, the officer acts as an important link between the Crime Branch, specialized units, and the top command. The DCP (CP Secretariat – Crime) is responsible for compiling crime statistics, monitoring major investigations, preparing analytical reports, and ensuring timely communication of critical inputs to senior officers. The role also involves reviewing case progress, coordinating inter-departmental information flow, and maintaining confidentiality in sensitive matters. The officer supports the formulation of strategies for crime prevention, detection, and prosecution efficiency across Delhi.
