REC Limited Grants ₹2 Crore for Raipur Health Society Medical Equipment

Indian Bureaucracy, Raipur, January 09, 2025| REC Limited, a distinguished Maharatna Central Public Sector Enterprise (CPSE) under the Ministry of Power and a leading Non-Banking Financial Corporation (NBFC), has signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with the District Health Society (DHS) of Raipur, Chhattisgarh, as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative.

Through this MoA, REC has pledged financial support of ₹2.01 crore to procure critical health equipment for the three Community Health Centres (CHCs) and the District Hospital of Raipur District. The DHS, Raipur, will be responsible for executing the project.

This initiative is expected to significantly contribute in the quality and accessibility of healthcare services in Raipur, with a special focus on underserved and vulnerable populations. The ultimate objectives of this initiative are to ensure better patient outcomes, faster diagnoses, and more timely treatment.

The agreement was signed on 9th January 2025 between Dr Mithilesh Choudhary, Chief Medical & Health Officer, Raipur, and Shri Pradeep Fellows, Executive Director CSR, REC Limited.

This intervention aims to improve the quality and accessibility of healthcare services, particularly for underserved and vulnerable populations, ensuring better patient outcomes, faster diagnoses, and timely treatment.
