REC Foundation Partners with District Health Society Neemuch for Healthcare Infrastructure Development
REC Limited continues to reaffirm its commitment towards ensuring that quality healthcare services reach people residing in remote and underserved areas of the country. Guided by its vision of inclusive development and community welfare, REC, through its Corporate Social Responsibility arm, REC Foundation, has consistently undertaken initiatives aimed at strengthening healthcare infrastructure and improving access to medical facilities for vulnerable populations. In another significant step in this direction, REC Foundation signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with the District Health Society (DHS), Neemuch, on May 22, 2026, to enhance healthcare services in Neemuch district of Madhya Pradesh.
The partnership has been designed with a focus on improving primary healthcare facilities and ensuring better medical support for economically weaker and socially disadvantaged sections of society. The initiative reflects REC Foundation’s larger mission of delivering impactful healthcare interventions at the grassroots level and supporting the government’s efforts to build a robust public healthcare system.
The MoA signing ceremony was attended by senior officials from both REC Foundation and the District Health Society. Shri Dinesh Prashad, Chief Medical and Health Officer (CMHO), Neemuch, and Shri Arun Kumar Tyagi, Executive Director (CSR), REC, graced the occasion and highlighted the importance of collaborative efforts in strengthening healthcare delivery systems. Shri Bhupesh Chandolia, Head of Department (CSR), REC, along with officials from REC Foundation and DHS Neemuch, were also present during the ceremony.
As part of the agreement, REC Foundation has committed financial assistance amounting to ₹1.99 crore for the procurement of advanced medical equipment and healthcare infrastructure support in the district. The financial assistance will be utilised to strengthen medical services at Civil Hospital Manasa, Civil Hospital Jawad, Civil Hospital Rampura, and several other government healthcare facilities functioning in Neemuch district.
The proposed intervention is expected to significantly improve the quality and availability of healthcare services in the region. The procurement of modern medical equipment will help healthcare institutions provide timely diagnosis, efficient treatment, and better patient care. It will also contribute towards reducing the burden on district-level hospitals by enhancing the capacity of local healthcare centres to manage medical cases effectively.
Healthcare accessibility remains a major challenge in many rural and semi-urban regions of the country, where people often struggle to receive timely medical attention due to inadequate infrastructure and shortage of essential equipment. Through this initiative, REC Foundation aims to bridge critical healthcare gaps and ensure that essential medical services are made available closer to communities that need them the most.
The initiative is particularly significant for vulnerable and underserved populations residing in Neemuch district, as strengthened healthcare facilities will improve access to quality treatment and emergency care. Better-equipped hospitals and health centres are also expected to contribute towards improved maternal and child healthcare services, disease management, and overall public health outcomes in the region.
REC Foundation has been actively contributing towards social development through focused CSR initiatives across sectors such as healthcare, education, sanitation, skill development, rural infrastructure, and environmental sustainability. Its healthcare initiatives, in particular, have played a vital role in supporting government hospitals, promoting preventive healthcare, and improving medical infrastructure in several states across India.
The latest collaboration with the District Health Society, Neemuch, further reinforces REC’s commitment to inclusive growth and sustainable community development. By investing in healthcare infrastructure and supporting government institutions, REC Foundation continues to play an important role in strengthening the public healthcare ecosystem and ensuring that quality healthcare services become accessible to citizens at the grassroots level.
The initiative is expected to bring long-term benefits to the people of Neemuch district by improving healthcare preparedness, strengthening medical response systems, and ensuring enhanced healthcare delivery for thousands of beneficiaries. Through such meaningful interventions, REC Foundation remains dedicated to creating positive social impact and contributing towards the nation’s larger goal of equitable and accessible healthcare for all.
