Shri Randip Singh Jagpal has been appointed as Member (Law) of the Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (PFRDA). Prior to this prestigious assignment, he served as Executive Director at the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI), where he played a pivotal role in strengthening the legal and regulatory framework of India’s insurance sector.
Known for his astute legal acumen and deep understanding of regulatory compliance, Shri Jagpal has significantly contributed to policy formulation, enforcement actions, and dispute resolution mechanisms at IRDAI. His career has been marked by a commitment to transparent and robust governance in the financial sector.
His appointment as Member (Law) at PFRDA comes at a time when legal clarity and sound regulation are critical to the expansion of pension coverage in the country. He will serve in this role from the date of assumption of charge until the age of 62.
