Recently empanelled as Joint Secretary, Shri Kumar has held several high-profile roles at the Centre, demonstrating strong leadership, strategic planning, and policy execution skills. He has served as Private Secretary to the Minister in multiple ministries, including Textiles, Rural Development, and Panchayati Raj, playing a crucial role in advising policymakers, coordinating developmental initiatives, and ensuring effective governance.
Before his central government roles, he had an extensive tenure in Bihar’s district administration, where he served as District Collector and District Magistrate (DM) of East Champaran and Buxar.
