Shri Rakesh Srivastava IAS (RJ 1981) presently Member Secretary, National Commission for Backward Classes has been appointed as Secretary, Ministry of Women & Child Development.

Shri. Rakesh Srivastava served as Joint Secretary (Ports) of the Ministry of Shipping, Road Transport and Highways of India. Shri. Srivastava served as a Director of Dredging Corp. of India Ltd. from June 13, 2007 to June 21, 2012. He served as a Part-Time Official Director of Shipping Corp. of India from December 22, 2011 to February 1, 2012. He served as Government Nominee Director of Ennore Port Limited from June 29, 2006 to June 1, 2012. Shri. Srivastava has an M.Sc (Physics).
