Shri Rajneesh Kumar Tomar IRSME (1998), presently in cadre and posted as Principal Chief Signal & Telecommunication Engineer, Western Railway, has been appointed as the Combined Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) for the Military Engineer Services (MES) and Border Roads Organisation (BRO) under the Ministry of Defence. The appointment is for a tenure of three years, at the Level 14 pay scale (Rs 1,44,200 – 2,18,200/-), on central deputation basis.
According to an Office Memorandum dated September 13, 2025, from the Department of Personnel & Training, the appointment includes a temporary upgradation of the director-level CVO post to Joint Secretary level for one year, until October 14, 2026.
