Shri Rajive Kumar IAS (UP 1981) presently Secretary, Ministry of Shipping has been given Additional charge of the post of Secretary, Ministry of Road Transport & Highways .
He holds a Post- Graduate Degree in Physics as well as a Masters degree in Public Administration (MPA) from Harvard.
Shri Rajive Kumar has handled several key assignments in the State including Urban and Rural Development, Personnel, District Administration and a long stint in the Industrial Development Sector serving as Chief Executive Officer in several State PSUs.
Shri Kumar has also held important positions in Government of India as Special Secretary/Additional Secretary in Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, Joint/Additional Secretary in the Cabinet Secretariat and Joint Secretary in the Department of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Finance.
