Shri R N Abanikant Parida IRPS (2011) has been appointed as CVO- Paradip Port Authority (PPA), Paradip under the Ministry of Ports, Shipping & Waterways (pay at level 13) for an initial period of 3 years.
The Paradip Port Authority (PPA), functioning under the Ministry of Ports, Shipping & Waterways, Government of India, is one of the country’s major ports and a key component of the national maritime network. Located on the east coast of India in Odisha, it was commissioned in 1966 as the first major port in the state. Paradip Port handles a wide range of cargo, including coal, iron ore, crude oil, and fertilizers, serving as a crucial hub for industrial and trade activities in eastern India. The port continues to expand its capacity, efficiency, and digital infrastructure, reflecting the progressive vision of the Indian bureaucracy in strengthening maritime logistics and economic growth.
