Punjab Police Transfers, Surinderpal Singh Parmar IPS appointed ADGP Law & Order

Indian Bureaucracy, Chandigarh, August 27, 2025 | The Punjab Government has issued posting orders for two senior police officers who were awaiting assignment. The directive, issued by Alok Shekhar, Additional Chief Secretary of Home Affairs, takes effect immediately.

  1. Shri Surinderpal Singh Parmar IPS (Punjab 1997), after being on available posting since April, now been appointed as Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) – Law & Order, Punjab, Chandigarh.
  2. Shri Varinder Singh Brar PPS, presently awaiting posting, is appointed as Assistant Inspector General (AIG) -Provisioning, Punjab, Chandigarh.
