In continuation of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan of Bharat Sarkar which was launched on 02.10.2014 as a National Flagship Programme and to achieve Clean India Goal latest by 150th anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi in 2019, Ministry of Finance, Government of India has announced Swachhta Pakhwada from 16.01.2018 to 31.01.2018 in all the institutions under the administrative control of the Ministry by way of day wise activities.
In pursuit of the above objectives, Punjab National Bank, in its all formations/Administrative Offices/ Branches across the country were administered with the ‘Swachhta Shapath’. These activities have evoked large and enthusiastic participation by all members of the Bank by displaying the Notices and Banners etc.
Punjab National Bank initiated awareness drives and programmes in all the formations to integrate the philosophy of environment consciousness as also to ensure a greener and cleaner tomorrow for our future generations.
Institutionalized efforts of the Bank have received greater focus and fillip with the launch of the ‘Swachh Bharat Pakhwada’. This has been initiated with focused attention on creating mass awareness and lasting changes for a ‘Clean and Green’ Bank. Activities that will be undertaken during Pakhwada include community cleanliness drives in nearby areas, holding public awareness programme for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene, repair and cleaning of all community amenities, Shramdan for cleaning area outside office premises/nearby parks/bus stop etc..
As part of “Swacch Bharat Pakhwada” PNB has initiated a number of activities for employees which included essay competitions, cleaning drives, Shramdan etc which will see participation from all employees across all our branches/offices.
