The President Shri Pranab Mukherjee conferred Indira Gandhi National Service Scheme Awards 2014-15 to 57 persons at a function at the Darbar Hall of Rashtrapati Bhawan. The objective of the Awards is to the recognise and reward outstanding contributions towards voluntary community service made by the Universities/ Senior Secondary (+2) Councils, NSS Units/ Programme Officers and NSS Volunteers, with a view to further promote NSS. Minister of Youth Affairs & Sports Shri Sarbananda Sonowal and several other dignitaries were present on the occasion. The following Awards were conferred :
