Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi is on a two day tour of Gujarat. During his visit, he will partake in a significant event commemorating the 20-year milestone of the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit. This event, taking place at Science City in Ahmedabad, will witness participation from various industry associations, influential figures in trade and commerce, young entrepreneurs, and students from higher and technical education institutions.

The Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit, initiated under the visionary leadership of the then Chief Minister of Gujarat, Shri Narendra Modi, began its journey two decades ago on 28th September 2003. Over the years, it has transformed into a globally acclaimed business summit, drawing participation from thousands of delegates representing more than 135 nations in 2019, compared to around 300 international participants in its inaugural year.

Over the last two decades, the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit has transitioned from the objective of “Making Gujarat the Preferred Investment Destination” to actively “Shaping a New India.” Its unparalleled success has served as a model for the entire country and has inspired other Indian states to organize similar investment summits.

In another part of the visit, Prime Minister Modi will be in Bodeli, Chhotaudepur, where he will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for projects worth over Rs 5,200 crores.

Under the program ‘Mission Schools of Excellence,’ the Prime Minister will provide a significant boost to school infrastructure across Gujarat. This initiative encompasses the dedication of thousands of new classrooms, smart classrooms, computer labs, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) labs, and other essential infrastructure elements across Gujarat’s schools. The foundation stone for improving and upgrading thousands of classrooms across the state’s schools will also be laid during this program.

Additionally, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone for the ‘Vidya Samiksha Kendra 2.0’ project, building upon the success of ‘Vidya Samiksha Kendra,’ which has led to continuous monitoring of schools and improved student learning outcomes in Gujarat. ‘Vidya Samiksha Kendra 2.0’ will establish Vidya Samiksha Kendras in all districts and blocks of Gujarat.

During this program, Prime Minister Modi will dedicate several development projects to the nation, including a new bridge over the Narmada River on the ‘Odara Dabhoi-Sinor-Malsar-Asa road’ in Taluka Sinor, Vadodara district; the redevelopment of Chab Talav; a water supply project in Dahod; around 400 newly constructed houses for the economically weaker sections in Vadodara; a Village Wi-Fi project covering 7,500 villages across Gujarat; and the newly built Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya in Dahod.

Furthermore, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone for a water supply project in Chhotaudepur, a flyover bridge in Godhra, Panchmahal, and an FM Radio studio in Dahod, which will be developed under the ‘Broadcasting Infrastructure and Network Development (BIND)’ scheme of the Central Government.
