Kerala Piravi, also known as Kerala Formation Day, is the annual celebration of the formation of the Indian state of Kerala. It is observed on November 1st each year, marking the day when the state of Kerala officially came into existence. On November 1, 1956, the state of Kerala was formed by the reorganization of the former state of Travancore-Cochin, the Malabar district of the Madras Presidency, and the Kasaragod taluk of South Kanara.
