PM unveils development projects worth over Rs 9,750 crore in Rewari, Haryana

In a significant boost to urban transport, health, rail, and tourism sectors, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for multiple development projects in Rewari, Haryana, collectively valued at more than Rs 9,750 crore.

Among the key projects, Prime Minister Modi laid the foundation stone for the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Rewari, Haryana, a venture expected to cost around Rs 1,650 crore. The AIIMS facility, spread across 203 acres at village Majra Mustil Bhalkhi in Rewari, will feature a Hospital Complex with 720 beds, a Medical College with 100 seats, a Nursing College with 60 seats, an AYUSH Block with 30 beds, along with residential and hostel accommodations. AIIMS Rewari is a significant step toward providing advanced healthcare services and creating opportunities for medical education in the region.

Addressing the audience, Prime Minister Modi emphasized the transformative impact of AIIMS Rewari, stating, “With the new AIIMS, you will get better treatment, and the youth will also get the opportunity to become doctors. Many opportunities for employment and self-employment will also be created.”

Additionally, Prime Minister Modi inaugurated the Gurugram Metro Rail project, with an estimated cost of Rs 5,450 crores, aimed at enhancing urban transport connectivity. The metro project, covering a total length of 28.5 km, will connect Millennium City Centre to Udyog Vihar Phase-5 and integrate with the existing metro network.

The Prime Minister also inaugurated the Anubhav Kendra, an experiential museum at Jyotisar, Kurukshetra, built at a cost of approximately Rs 240 crores. Spanning 17 acres, the museum uses cutting-edge technology, including Augmented Reality and 3D laser, to vividly bring the epic narrative of the Mahabharata and the teachings of the Gita to life.

Highlighting the commitment to rail infrastructure development, Prime Minister Modi laid the foundation stone for multiple railway projects, including the doubling of rail lines in Rewari-Kathuwas, Kathuwas-Narnaul, Bhiwani-Dobh Bhali, and Manheru-Bawani Khera. The doubling of these rail lines aims to improve rail connectivity and facilitate efficient transportation of both passengers and freight.

The Prime Minister also dedicated the Rohtak-Meham-Hansi rail line (68 km), which is set to reduce travel time between Rohtak and Hisar, contributing to enhanced rail connectivity in the region.

Prime Minister Modi commended the efforts of the Haryana government in resolving water-related issues and praised the state’s progress in the textile and apparel industry. He underlined the significant role of Haryana in attracting investment and creating new job opportunities.

The comprehensive development projects unveiled by Prime Minister Modi underscore the government’s commitment to fostering growth, infrastructure, and well-being in the region. Governor of Haryana, Bandaru Dattatreya, and Chief Minister of Haryana, Shri Manohar Lal Khattar, were present during the inauguration ceremony, along with other dignitaries and officials.
