Shri Pankaj IAS (Haryana 2009), presently Director General and Secretary, Urban Local Bodies, with additional charge of Mission Director, State Urban Livelihood Mission and State Urban Development Authority, and Director General, Supplies and Disposals, Haryana, is transferred and appointed as Secretary – Personnel, Training and Parliamentary Affairs Department, Haryana, and Director – Training (Ex-Officio), with additional charge of Inquiry Officer – Vigilance, Haryana, and Director General – Supplies and Disposals, Haryana.
Shri Pankaj is a senior Indian Administrative Service officer of the Haryana cadre, known for his strong academic grounding, extensive field exposure, and steady progression through key administrative and financial roles. With experience spanning district administration, urban development, education, vigilance, and state finance, his career reflects a balanced blend of grassroots governance and policy-level responsibility.
Academically, Shri Pankaj holds a B.Tech in Chemical Engineering from the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Roorkee, where he graduated in First Division. His engineering background has contributed to a structured and analytical approach to administration, particularly evident in his handling of complex financial, urban, and district-level challenges. Currently, Shri Pankaj is serving as Special Secretary to the Government, Finance Department, Haryana, at the Director level, a position he has held since 10 April 2023.
