NTPC Ltd.’s Power Management Institute (NTPC-PMI) launched its Eminent Speaker Series on 1st December, 2016 with a talk on “Mechanics of Leadership” by the renowned yogi, mystic and New York Times bestselling author Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev. The audience comprised of over 10,000 NTPC employees and their families through video conferencing at 58 projects, stations and regional offices of NTPC spread across the country, and local audience of over 500 persons inside Saraswati Auditorium at NTPC-PMI, which included Shri Gurdeep Singh, CMD, Shri A.K.Jha, Director (Technical), Shri K.Biswal, Director (Finance), Shri Saptarshi Roy, Director (HR) other dignitaries and senior officials of NTPC.
Sadhguru emphasized upon the importance of finding inner happiness within oneself by managing one’s own self first through integrity, insight, inspiration and dynamism, in order to be able to manage others. He stated that for people to look up to somebody as their leader, that person must set right his own inner being and radiate life. For corporate executives, his message was to tweak their competence instead of activities. The audience heard Sadhguru with rapt admiration.
