The Indian Technical and economic cooperation Programme (ITEC) of Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), Government of India organized by public sector enterprise National Research Development Corporation (NRDC) under Ministry of Science & Technology, is a fifteen day Indo-African international training  programme with the objective to provide in-depth knowledge of IPR, Technology Commercialization, Licensing, Start-ups, innovations etc. for the benefit of technology transfer professionals of African countries. The first day of the programme conducted at Crowne Plaza Hotel, New Delhi, the programme was inaguared by  Sh. Dinkar Asthana, Joint Secretary, Ministry of External Affairs, Govt of India; Sh. Baraka Luvanda, His Excellency High Commissioner, Tanzania; Dr. H. Purushottam, CMD, NRDC and Sh. B.N. Sarkar, Director, NRDC Board, DSIR. Dr. H. Purushottam, CMD, NRDC gave the welcome address and in his inaugural address Sh. Dinkar Asthana, JS, MEA emphasized the role of ITEC programme in south-south cooperation  in technology transfer and cooperation and SDG. The vote of thanks was given by Shri B K Sahu, Programme Coordinator of the ITEC programme.  There are ten participants from different African countries who are attending this programme for 15 days. Besides workshop session, the delegates will visit different national labororaties, universities, TBIs and technology demonstration centre, industrial and monumental visit to India Gate, Parliament and Agra.
