NLCIL inaugurates Skill Development training under CSR initiatives

NLCIL India Limited under its CSR initiatives inaugurated two Skill Development training programmes on “Housekeeping and Geriatric Care” at Anandam illam Block -6 at Neyveli on 20.04.2018. A total of 60 candidates include 30 members from the rural villages and 30members from Project Affected Persons (PAPs) are to be benefitted by this programme.  National Skill Development Corporation(NSDC),GoI will organize online test for the participants and provide valuable certificates to avail job opportunities. NLCIL organizing these Skill Development programmes with an estimated cost of    Rs18 lakh which includes daily stipend of Rs100 for each participant. Also NLCIL facilitated   practical training  on Geriatric Care at NLC India General Hospital and Housekeeping at Guest House along with theory classes. The Faculties of  Skill Development Centre, Annamalai University will handled the sessions.

The Skill Development training programme was inaugurated by Shri N.Sankar, CGM/HR in the presence of Shri R. Mohan, CGM/ CSR, Education and. Sports & Culture, Shri. S.R.Sekar GM/CSR, NLCIL,  Annamalai University Skill Development Centre Directors, Shri V .Arulselvam, Smt R. Malathi, and coordinator Shri J. Krishnan, and other officials from NLCIL.

The chief guest, in his address, motivated the trainees to take up the skill development Courses Housekeeping and Geriatric for their livelihood.

Earlier, NLC India entered an MOU with Annamalai University, Chidambaram for “NLCI-AU Skill Development Center and initiating various skill development programmes to realize the National Skill Development Mission of Government of India.
