NLC India accomplished Swachh Bharat at Karunguzhi Village

Under the aegis of NLC India, School students of NLC Girls’ Higher Secondary School, Mandarakuppam and Jawahar Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Neyveli, stepped down to the road of Karunguzhi Village, a peripheral Village of Neyveli on today, (08.11.2016) and cleaned well, under “Swachh Bharat” mission. Also, “Clean India Awareness” march around the streets of the village was performed by the students. The center of attraction on today’s programme is “Street-Drama” performed by students, where it exposed the importance of “Clean-India” in the minds of every village people, who watched.

A National Mission of “Swachh Bharat” was passionately adopted by NLC India Limited. As part of it, two week programme is being conducted, which commenced from 1st November, 2016. On the line of progress, “Cleaning Programme” as well as “Clean India” (Swachh Bharat) Awareness Campaign were organized, today (08.11.2016) at Karunguzhi Village, which is the peripheral village of Neyveli. Also Hand Bills, which portrayed the need of Clean-India Mission was also circulated among the village people; pasted stickers at different prominent places of the villages, besides Clean-India Awareness March was performed at all the streets of the village.  In addition, a street drama performed by the school students fascinated much.

In a special address, delivered by Mr. M. Senthilkumar, CM/Education Department at Karunguzhi Village said, though the “Cleaning Programme” was performed at the Karunguzhi Village, by NLC India Limited as part of the Prime Minister’s Vision of “Clean-India” movement, the village should be seen clean-forever, which can be possible, only with the support of the village people. Mr. Subbu Murugan, Secretary, Town Panchayat, who participated on this occasion, said, this village did not see the programme like cleaning, for the past several years; while thanking the NLC India management, for “Clean-India” programme conducted at Karunguzhi Village and kept the village neat and clean, he assured, that the hygiene, sanitation and purity would be maintained, continually, with the support of the people at this village and keep the Prime Minister’s dream come true.

This programme was efficiently performed under the supervision and guidance of Mr. Gunasekaran, DCE/Environmental & Mr. Rajagopal, APO/Education Department of NLC India, Mr. Harikrishnan,      Mr. Suresh & Mr. Ravichandran, Teachers of NLC Girls’ Higher Secondary School, Mr. Paulraj &           Mrs. Padmavathy, Teachers of Jawahar Matric Higher Secondary School, Neyveli and                         Mr. JRD. Kannan & Mr. Asokan of Junior Red Cross Society, Neyveli.
