To honour the mandate of the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act, 2014, the Government has approved setting up of the National Institute of Disaster Management (Southern Campus) in Andhra Pradesh at a total cost of Rs. 70.87 crores during 2016-17 and 2017-18.

A budget provision of Rs. 20 crores has been kept for this purpose during 2016-17.
