NHPC, India’s premier hydropower company in association with Department of Health, Faridabad, Asian Institute of Medical Science, and Centre for Sight, Faridabad organized a free medical camp at village Khedi Kalan, Faridabad on 14th March 2019 under its CSR-SD scheme. Dr. Kamla Fartyal, Chief General Manager (Medical Services), NHPC, Shri Rajendra Prasad, General Manager (CSR), NHPC, Dr Rakesh Ranjan and Dr Sushma Trivedi from NHPC were present on the occasion alongwith Cardiologist Dr. Sumit Khurana, Orthopedician Dr. Manish, Gynaecologist Dr. Yukti, Paediatrician Dr. Swati, Internal Medicine Dr. Murli from Asian Hospital and Eye Specialist Dr. Sunita from Centre for Sight, Faridabad.
The camp was highly successful and more than 665 persons from the nearby areas availed the free medical consultation by specialist doctors in Cancer, Cardiology, Gynaecology, Paediatrics, Orthopaedics and Internal Medicine. A Cancer Screening Van of Asian Institute of Medical Sciences, equipped with X-ray facility, Mammography and Pap smear tests was also made available during the camp wherein 65 X-rays, 5 Pap smear and 2 Mammography tests were done free of cost. An Eye check-up of 104 patients and other necessary tests were also done. During the camp medicines were also provided free of cost.
