Shri Ratish Kumar, CMD, NHPC receiving First Prize under Rajbhasha Kirti Puruskar scheme for commendable work in implementation of Rajbhasha from Hon’ble President of India Shri Ram Nath Kovind on 14th September 2017. Shri Rajnath Singh, Hon’ble Union Minister for Home Affairs, Shri Hansraj Gangaram Ahir, Hon’ble Minister of State for Home Affairs and Shri Kiren Rijiju, Hon’ble Minister of State for Home Affairs were present on the occasion.
NHPC has been awarded First Prize by Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt. of India for the year 2016-17 under ‘Rajbhasha Kirti Puruskar’ scheme for commendable work in implementation of Rajbhasha amongst Public Sector Undertakings located in Region ‘A’. The award was received from Hon’ble President of India Shri Ram Nath Kovind by Shri Ratish Kumar, CMD, NHPC during an award ceremony held at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi on 14th September 2017. Shri Rajnath Singh, Hon’ble Union Minister for Home Affairs, Shri Hanraj Gangaram Ahir, Hon’ble Minister of State for Home Affairs and Shri Kiren Rijiju, Hon’ble Minister of State for Home Affairs were also present on the occasion.
This is the highest award given by the Govt. of India in the field of implementation of Official Language. NHPC has won this prestigious award for the Eighth time for outstanding implementation of Rajbhasha amongst the Public Sector Undertakings. Before this NHPC received First Prize for the years 2008-09, 2009-10, 2011-12, 2014-15 and Second Prize for the year 2010-11, 2012-13 & 2015-16. In addition to this our Official Language Magazine Rajbhasha Jyoti has been awarded Second Prize for the year (2016-17) amongst PSUs located in Region ‘A’ under Government of India’s highest official language award Rajbhasha Kirti Puraskar (House magazine).
Along with the development and generation of Hydropower, NHPC has also made remarkable progress in the field of Rajbhasha Hindi. Keeping in view the commendable achievements of NHPC in implementation of Rajbhasha, it has been conferred with several Rajbhasha awards at national level.
