Shri Neeraj Kumar Singh began his administrative journey with professional training at the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA), Mussoorie, from September 2012 to May 2013. This formative phase laid the foundation for his understanding of public institutions, ethics, and field administration. Soon after, he was posted as Assistant Collector, Sehore, where he gained hands-on exposure to sub-divisional administration, land revenue management, and citizen-centric service delivery—experiences that shaped his practical understanding of district governance.

In December 2024, Shri Neeraj Kumar Singh took charge as Collector, Ujjain, one of the most prominent districts in Madhya Pradesh. As District Magistrate, he has been responsible for overall district administration, land revenue management, law and order, and coordination of development programmes. His tenure as Collector has been characterised by administrative discipline, attention to service delivery, and a measured leadership style that balances firmness with approachability.
In April 2025, he was entrusted with the role of Administrator, Directorate of Health & Family Welfare, Bhopal, where he handled responsibilities linked to health administration and Ayurveda. This assignment highlighted his ability to adapt to sector-specific governance, especially in areas requiring coordination between policy, institutions, and service delivery mechanisms.
Shri Singh’s capabilities were further recognised at the national level with his appointment as Private Secretary to the Minister of State, Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY), New Delhi.
