Nand Kumarum IAS given additional charge as CEO- MyGov
Shri Nand Kumarum IAS (Madhya Pradesh 2008) presently President & CEO- National e-Governance Division (NeGD) has been given the additional charge as Chief Executive Officer- MyGov for a period from 09.07.2025 to 23.11.2025 by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet.
Shri Nand Kumarum, an accomplished officer of the Indian Administrative Service, is widely regarded for his strong blend of technical expertise and administrative leadership. He holds a B.Tech. in Petroleum Engineering from the Indian School of Mines, securing First Class with Distinction—an achievement that reflects both academic rigor and analytical strength. This technical grounding has played a significant role in shaping his approach to governance, particularly in sectors driven by technology and infrastructure.
His administrative journey began with field-level assignments in Madhya Pradesh, where he served as Assistant Collector and later as Sub-Divisional Officer in Sagar. These early roles provided him with practical exposure to land revenue management and grassroots administration. He went on to serve as CEO of Zila Panchayats in Sagar and Singrauli, contributing to rural governance and local self-government initiatives.
Shri Kumarum’s leadership abilities were further demonstrated during his tenure as District Collector in Anuppur and Neemuch, where he handled district administration with a balanced focus on development and service delivery. His transition into the energy sector saw him take on significant responsibilities as Managing Director of M.P. Paschim Kshetra Vidyut Vitran Company Limited and later the M.P. State Electricity Board, where he contributed to improving power distribution systems.
He also held important roles in policy and governance, including Deputy Secretary in the Chief Minister’s Office and Civil Aviation Department. His association with World Bank-supported projects in water resources as Project Director added an international dimension to his administrative experience.
In the field of information technology and e-governance, Shri Kumarum served as Managing Director & CEO of the M.P. State Electronics Development Corporation and the Department of Information Technology & Communication, where he played a key role in advancing digital initiatives. He also held multiple additional responsibilities, including Mission Director of social security initiatives and Director in various governance bodies.
At the national level, he served as Director at the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration, contributing to capacity building and training of civil servants. Currently, he is serving as CEO of the National e-Governance Division under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India. In this role, he is at the forefront of driving India’s digital governance initiatives.
